Bridal shows are filled with wonderful information and you truly can plan you wedding with most of the vendors at a bridal show. On the other hand, Bridal shows can be overwhelming and exhausting. Here are a few tips for preparing for the show.
1. First and foremost, especially after you are engaged, create a new wedding email address. Vendors will contact you after teh show and what you don't want is your regular email bombarded with wedding stuff. 2. Always pre-register. This gives you the chance automatically have your name entered in major prizes. 3. Eat prior to coming. Normally, there are caterers and cake bakers at bridal shows but you really will not get full off of their items. They are made as samples only. 4. Wear comfortable shoes: Some shows take place in convention centers with a concrete floor. This can be very uncomfortable. Charlotte Area Bridal Shows are always on carpet but be prepared, non the less. 5. Always bring someone with you. Bring your fiance, parent, maid of honor, just make sure you have someone to bounce ideas off of. 6. Make labels. You will get tired of filling out vendor information. Just make a label that has (1) bride and grooms name, (2) wedding date (3) email address (4) phone number. This will save you so much time 7. Dog ear the vendors promotional literature and/or business cards that you like. There is nothing worse than getting home and you can't remember which vendor you liked. If you dogear it, you will remember. Another option is to bring your own bag to enter specific vendors information in it. 8. Never feel pressured to purchase on the spot. Seriously. Make sure whatever you purchase truly is within your budget. 9. Enjoy the show. Participate in the games and enjoy this time with you wedding party and family. Its a fun way to plan for your big day.
